How it Works
What is test pin repellency technology?
Aculon® patented test pin repellency treatments are successful in preventing buildup of contamination on POGO test pin fixtures for semiconductors, PCBs, and other electronics components. These treatments are liquid phase applied via a variety of methods. The treatment can be applied to all metals including gold, nickel, copper, & stainless steel. Test pins are often expected to remain functional without failing for long periods of time without cleaning. Aculon® test pin repellency coatings enable proper function of these critical devices without significant and costly downtime for cleaning or replacement.


Test Pin Repellency Performance
Aculon® Test Pin repellency coatings will drastically decrease the level of tin oxide build up on test probe pins. By functionalizing the surface to be repellent to water and oil and other contaminants the lifetime of test pins is drastically increased. Tin oxide is well known to be a leading failure of repellency test pins. Independent testing shows a 5x reduction in tin oxide on functionalized test pins vs un-treated test pins.
