Optical Coating Platforms

Our repellent coating technologies for optical components will yield a robust a long lasting hydrophobic and oleophobic surface. Typical water contact angles (measurement of surface energy) are in the 115°-120° range and typical oil contact angles are in the 75°-85° range. These coatings & treatments are nanoscale, as thin as 2-4 nm thin leaving your part visually unchanged and optically clear. A self assembling process ensures a uniform and even coating every time!

Our hydrophilic optical coating technologies are thin and optically clear and will yield a robust and long lasting hydrophilic surface. Typical water contact angles (measurement of surface energy) are in the <10° range. Common uses include creating fog free optical surfaces.  A self assembling process ensures a uniform and even treatment every time!

Our adhesion promotion coating technologies improve adhesive and bonding characteristics of oxide containing surfaces such as glass and synthetic sapphire commonly used in optical applications. By directly functionalizing the substrate surface, delamination and adhesive failure are significantly reduced. Common applications include improved adhesion in touch screen display stacks. This enables improved adhesive performance in addition to elimination of more complicated and costly processes for improving adhesion.
