Eric Bruner, President and Founder
Eric Bruner founded Aculon in 2004 after negotiating with Princeton University for worldwide rights to a body of inventions made by Professor Jeffrey Schwartz and his research teams. Eric earned his Master of Science degree in 2000 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Princeton University in 2002. Eric’s thesis research involved organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs).
Under the guidance of Dr. Schwartz, he invented new surface chemistry to control interfacial properties of indium tin oxide (ITO). This scheme was novel in its ability to attach molecules with tunable properties thereby controlling the properties of the electrode itself. Eric’s credits include numerous scientific publications in the areas of catalysis, kinetics, and surface chemistry.
Prior to Princeton, Eric earned a B.S. degree in Biochemistry with Honors from UCSD, where he also distinguished himself as an 8-time All-American Swimmer and served as the President of the American Chemical Society Student Affiliates. Bruner is an active member of the American Chemical Society, Society for Informational Displays, SEMICON, and the Adhesive and Sealants Council.
