Chrome Primer Replacement
Aculon's latest SAMP formulation replaces Hexavalent Chromium (Cr+6), which is currently used in many different primers and conversion coatings for increased adhesion of coatings to surfaces. The use of SAMPs in lieu of toxic substances enables manufacturers to adhere to the strictest of Environmental Protection Agency and European Union regulations, thus simplifying manufacturing processes for International commerce.
The new SAMP formulation can immediately benefit industries using Cr+6 as a spray-driven primer. Some of the possible uses of chrome replacement technology include baseball bats, bicycles, golf club heads, electric circuit boards and beverage cans. Quite simply, anywhere paint needs to adhere to and be durable on stainless steel, titanium and aluminum can receive benefits from the SAMP formulation.
