Edward has over 15 years of experience managing consumer and technology businesses. He is widely regarded in the Nanotechnology business community.
Prior to Aculon he was the Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer of PowerMetal Technologies Inc. located in Carlsbad California; a leading supplier of nanotechnology enabled components. In 2003 Edward was Senior VP and GM for TaylorMade-adidas Golf, heading up the North American business division and Global Marketing.
Edward was part of the team that turned around TaylorMade's performance by growing sales and doubling profits. Prior to selling Maxfli Golf to TaylorMade adidas Golf, Edward helped turn around Maxfli as Vice President & General Manager. Previous roles include Director of Strategy and Group Marketing Manager at The Pillsbury Company in Minneapolis. Edward serves on the Boards of several San Diego based nonprofit organizations which include Harvard Business School Club and the San Diego Girls Scouts Organization. He earned his Masters Degree from Cambridge University, England and his MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he was a George F. Baker Scholar.

Eric Bruner founded Aculon in 2004 after negotiating with Princeton University for worldwide rights to a body of inventions made by Professor Jeffrey Schwartz and his research teams. Eric earned his Master of Science degree in 2000 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Princeton University in 2002. Eric's thesis research involved organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs).
Under the guidance of Dr. Schwartz, he invented new surface chemistry to control interfacial properties of indium tin oxide (ITO). This scheme was novel in its ability to attach molecules with tunable properties thereby controlling the properties of the electrode itself. Eric's credits include numerous scientific publications in the areas of catalysis, kinetics, and surface chemistry.
Prior to Princeton, Eric earned a B.S. degree in Biochemistry with Honors from UCSD, where he also distinguished himself as an 8-time All-American Swimmer and served as the President of the American Chemical Society Student Affiliates. Bruner is an active member of the American Chemical Society, Society for Informational Displays, SEMICON, and the Adhesive and Sealants Council.
Rick Elkus, Director

In his present position as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations at Extrameasures, LLC, Elkus oversees finance, administration, I.T. and program operations for the stored-value issuing company. His past posts included multiple divisions within Hewlett Packard including roles as VP and CFO of Phogenix Imaging, a startup professional commercial printing manufacturer (HP/Kodak joint venture), where he was an initial founding member of the management team and the Secretary to the Board of Directors. Other positions held within HP include Controller in HP’s $1.2B All-in-One Division; Financial Operations manager of the HP InkJet Supplies Business Unit, and financial management positions in Site Services and HP Printed Circuit Board Division.
Mr. Elkus graduated with a BA in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego, and received his MBA from the University of Oregon. He also serves on the board of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, along with past community involvement with the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce and the University of California Youth Ranch.

Steve is an experienced corporate manager and start-up investor. He is a member of the ACULON Board, and was most recently a Founding Partner in Arlington Hill Investment Management, a $100 million hedge fund specializing in the trading of debt and currency instruments. Prior to forming Arlington Hill he was the VP of Finance and Operations at Cognet Microsystems, a start-up company specializing in high-speed semiconductors. Cognet was sold to Intel for $250 million. Steve spent 11 years with Merrill Lynch's Debt Capital Markets Division. At Merrill Lynch he was instrumental in establishing three different business units. He was elevated to Managing Director at age 28, the youngest such appointment in the history of Merrill Lynch. He has been investing, advising, fund raising and working directly with start-up companies for the last 15 years.

After leading publicly traded Iomega Corporation as Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of the Board, Mr. Huberman accepted the position of President of the Consumer and Small Business Products Division at EMC Corporation in 2008. Mr. Huberman oversees Iomega as well as other brands and technologies included in the Consumer and Small Business Products Division at EMC.
Prior to coming to Iomega, Mr. Huberman was a Managing Director at aAd Capital, a hedge fund focused on investing in small to mid-sized public companies. Prior to that he was a General Partner with Idanta Partners where he made private and public investments in many sectors including a variety of hardware, software and services companies across the information technology value chain. In addition, he served as CEO of two of Idanta's portfolio companies and on twelve Boards of Directors. Prior to joining Idanta, Mr. Huberman was a case leader with the Boston Consulting Group, a strategic management consulting firm, where he focused on the high technology and consumer products industries and advised clients on a range of issues, such as corporate and business unit strategy, marketing strategy, new product development, and reengineering. Previously, he was a marketing manager at Cray Research, Inc., the leading manufacturer of supercomputers. Mr. Hube rman also served as Special Advisor to the Director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) from 1999 to 2001. A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Huberman graduated with a BA in Computer Science from Princeton University, and received an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Malone was appointed by the Governor of Pennsylvania as Chairman of the State's Workforce Investment Board after serving for four years as Chairman of the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board for Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. Mr. Malone is former Chairman of the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves on the board of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, FNB Corporation, the Western PA Surgery Center and YouthPlaces Chairman. In addition, he is a Trustee of Robert Morris University and the Jewish Healthcare Foundation. Additionally, Mr. Malone is involved in various real estate and other projects including hotel and multi-use properties, operating companies, etc. A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Malone earned his BS in Economics from Allegheny College and later earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations from the American College.
